Preguntas frecuentes

Aquí encontrarás respuestas claras y rápidas a las preguntas más frecuentes de nuestros usuarios.

What are the ConnectAmericas Communities?

ConnectAmericas communities are public and private groups where entrepreneurs with common interests or belonging to specific industries share industry-relevant information, offer their products or services, or express their interest in purchasing industry-related products or services.

Can I report abuse, spam, or inappropriate language in a community?

Yes. You can report a comment in a community by clicking on the flag icon next to the comment. This will alert the community moderator, who will determine what action to take.

Can I change the frequency of notifications I receive about activity in my communities?

Yes, you can change, enable, or disable the notifications you receive via email. Simply follow these steps:

  • Select “Account Settings” at the top right of your screen.
  • Select “Notifications.” From there, you can choose how often you want to receive notifications.
  • Select “Save.”
Can I leave a community?

To leave the community, click the “Leave Group” button on the community page, in the upper right corner.

Is it possible to remove an account from a community?

Yes. Users who misuse the system, for example by generating spam or using inappropriate language, may be removed from a community by community moderators.

Any user can report inappropriate content by clicking on the flag icon.

Can I create my own community?

Currently, users cannot create their own communities. Existing communities are created by ConnectAmericas or its local partners, such as Ministries of Commerce, Chambers of Commerce, or other business support organizations. If you are a business support organization and would like to create your own community, please contact us at info@connectamericas.com and we will evaluate possibilities for cooperation.

I don't see my industry on the list. Can I suggest it?

Please email us at info@connectamericas.com with your suggestion. We constantly evaluate the relevance and timeliness of our communities, and we value your opinion.

How and when are participation certificates obtained?

Each course has specific milestones that must be completed before you can apply for the certificate.

Enter the course you are interested in and go to the last activity, where you will see the “Request certificate” button. If you have not completed all the required activities, the button will not be enabled and you will be shown a list of the activities you need to complete. Once all the activities have been completed, the “Request certificate” button will be enabled.

Important: Remember that the name you used to register with ConnectAmericas is the name that will appear on your certificate. Make sure it is complete and spelled correctly BEFORE requesting the certificate.
